Steven Hawking: Move to new planet (BBC News)

Move to new planet, says Hawking.

I have been saying this for a while as well (although I am not in Hawking's league - except that we are both Cambridge men :-) ). If the governments of the developed world would put a few of the trillions they are wasting into this effort, the species might survive (albeit in a much altered form). Write your MP, congressman, etc.! We can't afford to wait much longer!

  1. In approximately 5 billion years , not only will our sun will die and explode to destroy our whole solar system , but the Andromeda galaxy will collide with our Milky Way galaxy . We not only need to find a "safe" planet outside both of these two galaxies ,but also move all of humanity and a Noah's ark full of our planet's biology to survive anywhere we go . Huge endeavor ? Yes .Possible? Yes, but we better get started and I agree on funding our exodus far far away to our new planet (s) . angleralways@gmail.com Deirdre Race Florida USA
